Meghann Lazott- Owner

Hi, Iā€™m Meghann Lazott, owner of The Glass Jar! I have been a resident of Dennis for over 30 years. The Cape has always been a very special place for me. We have an abundance of natural resources at our fingertips, along with beautiful beaches and marshes to endlessly explore. Being in such a beautiful place often makes one think of how it can be saved for more generations to be able to visit and enjoy all the glorious sunsets with toes in the sand.

Living life in a fashion where we do our best to be very conscious of the way we dispose of things, I started saving all our glass jars and using them for storage, or making gifts out of them. Combining my love for reusing things, with my desire to provide Cape Cod with an affordable way to manage grocery options, the idea for The Glass Jar was developed. I am excited to bring a different way of grocery shopping to the Cape and to be able to do my part to encourage our community to reuse as many things as possible.

Starting small with a little mindset change, really grows into a more broad awareness of how much we waste! My goal is to have improvement and to collaborate with the community to bring more reusable ideas to my shop.

Please feel free to stop by and have a chat or offer suggestions on what you would like to see us carry! With the help of some amazing friends and family I am excited to bring this opportunity to Cape Cod.

Only 9% of recycled material will be reused in another product.  We want to give packaging another use, and keep them out of our transfer stations and oceans.
